Features of the structure of motivation of military university teachers for teaching

The purpose of the study is to analyze the features of the structure of motivation for pedagogical activity among teachers of a military university. The novelty of the approaches lies in the study of all types of motivation of the teaching staff of a military educational institution to carry out professional pedagogical activity, taking into account the characteristics of the composition (military and civilian teachers), as well as depending on the length of pedagogical activity.

The following research methods were used: analysis of theoretical material on the research topic, surveys and questionnaires of the teaching staff of a military educational institution, and statistical processing of the obtained results. The study examined the significance of motivational factors and their degree of expression for all identified groups and categories of the teaching staff of a military educational institution. Based on the obtained results, the prevailing types of motivation for each group and category of the teaching staff of a military educational institution were identified, and their ratio, interrelation, and interdependence were analyzed. Ultimately, the overall motivation of all the selected groups and categories of the military educational institution's teaching staff was compared, and their qualitative characteristics were provided.

The trends identified during the study allowed us to draw conclusions about the quality of motivation for teaching activities among military university professors. The practical significance of the study lies in providing factual material about the actual situation for each group and category of military educational institution professors. It is particularly alarming that the most promising group of military educational institution professors (with 10-20 years of professional experience) has a worse motivational complex than the other groups, and their overall motivation level is also decreasing.
