Актуальность исследования обусловлена необходимостью постоянного совершенствования методики обучения иностранному языку, поиском оптимальных и эффективных методов и средств обучения иностранному языку в военном вузе, способных обеспечить необходимый уровень мотивации и познавательного интереса, формирование компетенций, предусмотренных программой обучения, а также навыков критического мышления. Целями исследования являются рассмотрение зарубежного и отечественного опыта использования видео в процессе иноязычной подготовки, определение преимуществ и недостатков работы с видеоматериалом, а также аспектов, которые необходимо учитывать при отборе видеофрагментов. Методология исследования базируется на коммуникативном и компетентностном подходах, в соответствии с которыми результатом образования выступает сформированность коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся, а также компетенций, предусмотренных программой обучения курсантов военной образовательной организации высшего образования. Материалом исследования послужили теоретические и практические работы, посвященные использованию видео в процессе иноязычной подготовки, а также личный опыт реализации иноязычной подготовки курсантов с использованием видео. Работа с видеоматериалом в процессе иноязычной подготовки позволяет обеспечить необходимый уровень мотивации и интереса курсантов, создать визуальную наглядность при изучении профессиональной лексики по изучаемым темам, продемонстрировать особенности изучаемого языка и культуры страны, развивать навыки аудирования, письма и говорения, навык критического мышления, что в свою очередь позволяет оптимизировать процесс иноязычной подготовки курсантов. Так как одной из наиболее важных задач в процессе иноязычной подготовки является формирование коммуникативной компетенции, которая способна обеспечить свободное владение иностранным языком в рамках профессиональной сферы деятельности, использование видеоматериала служит основой для развития навыков аудирования, а также составляет базу для последующего развития навыков говорения и письма. Учитывая ограничения в использовании сети интернет в военном вузе, видеоматериал позволяет создать языковую среду на практических занятиях, повысить уровень владения лексическим материалом по профессиональной тематике, интенсифицировать учебный процесс, что создает благоприятные условия для формирования коммуникативной компетенции курсантов.
The relevance of the study is determined by the necessity of constant improvement of the methodology of teaching a foreign language, the search for optimal and efficient methods and means of teaching a foreign language in military educational institutions of higher education, which are capable of providing the necessary level of motivation, the formation of competencies prescribed by the educational program, as well as critical thinking skills. The purpose of the study is to consider foreign and domestic experience of using video materials in the process of foreign language training, determination of advantages and disadvantages of work with video material and also the aspects which are necessary to be considered when choosing video fragments. The research methodology is based on the communicative and competence-based approaches in education, according to which the result of education is the formation of the communicative competence of learners, as well as the competencies determined by the educational program for cadets of a military educational institutions of higher education. The research material included works on theory and practice of using video in the process of foreign language training, as well as personal experience of using video in the process of foreign language training of naval cadets. The use of video material in the process of foreign language training allows to provide the necessary level of motivation and interest of cadets, provide the use of visual aids while studying professional vocabulary, demonstrate the peculiarities of the language and culture of the country studied, develop listening, writing and speaking skills as well as critical thinking skills and therefore optimize the process of foreign language training. One of the most important tasks in the process of foreign language training is the formation of communicative competence, which is able to ensure foreign language fluency within the professional field of activity. The use of video material serves as the basis for the development of listening skills and the perception of a foreign language, and also forms the basis for the subsequent development of communicative and writing skills. Taking into account the limitations in the use of the Internet in a military higher educational institution, video material allows to create linguistic environment at the practical classes, increase the level of proficiency in using professional vocabulary, intensify the educational process which will create favorable conditions for the formation of communicative competence of cadets.
